Pastor Bio And Board of Directors
Rev. Justin Charles Kidd was born in Minneapolis, MN where he accepted the Lord at Bethesda Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Arthur Agnew. Rev. Kidd served in the Sunday School Department, Deacon Ministry, and served as the youth director. The call of God upon his life was irresistible and in humble submission was licensed and ordained.
In order to further his education, he has earned a Bachelor of Arts from North Central University and a Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary. While in college, Rev. Kidd met and married Tonya Byers. Three children were added to their union.
As an associate minister, Rev. Kidd served as interim pastor at New Progressive Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN the spring of 2005 for an internship. He also served as an instructor (New Testament) in the Minnesota State Baptist Convention. His secular career has involved managing a department at a day treatment center, case management for adults with traumatic brain injury and retail management.
Rev. Kidd was called to pastor the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in January 2007 where he has implemented programs that include a Deacons and Trustees training program, the installation of a screen and projector for the advancement of Christian education, and a Children’s Church and Youth program which combines tutoring and mentoring services with spiritual growth and development for local youth. Rev. Kidd is also well aware of the needs for health care education for the Antioch members and community and has helped to provide education on the prevention of AIDS, hypertension, and many other diseases that target the local community. Recently, Antioch responded to the growing need for the Gospel through multi-media venues by installing a CD recorder and duplicator, and the church has begun a successful radio ministry broadcast to the Chicago, IL area.
Rev. Kidd currently sits on the board for the American College Extension. He is the second vice moderator for the New Era District Association, the recording secretary for the Progressive National Baptist Convention Moderators Department, and serves as an instructor (How to Read and Study the Bible) for the MLK state convention.
